INDIAN OCEAN (Oct. 17, 2015) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Joshue Chinbritton directs an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Red Rippers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11 onto a catapult on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) during Exercise Malabar 2015. Malabar is a continuing series of complex, high-end war fighting exercises conducted to advance multi-national maritime relationships and mutual security. The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations as part of a worldwide deployment en route to its new homeport in San Diego to complete a three-carrier homeport shift.
