Petty Officer 3rd Class Charles Parsons, equipment operator, native of Lizton, Ind., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, Alfa Company, stock-piles select fill while operating a D8 bulldozer at the Leatherneck Expansion project. Piling the rock saves material, which will serve as the top course for a foundation pad, from being lost. More than 23,500 cubic meters of rock is expected to be used to support foundations for the new camp.
