    U.S. Army Sgt. William Evola, a Connecticut National Guard Soldier deployed to Kosovo with 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment, performs push-ups during a physical fitness test during the Multinational Battle Group-East Soldier of the Month competition, Dec. 4, 2015, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The two-day competition included an evaluation on each competitor’s knowledge of the M16 rifle and M9 pistol, a physical fitness test, 4-mile ruck march, and tests on casualty evaluation and weapons qualification. U.S. Soldiers and multinational service members serving on NATO’s peace support mission in Kosovo have had the opportunity to test their military skills in various competitions and races throughout their deployment.
