FORT BLISS, TEXAS – Spc. Daniel Castillo, 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade (left), and Maj. Bradley Tibetts, 1st Armored Division, race to the finish line March 9 during the track and field portion of the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge competition. The Soldiers were tested on their ability to complete a one-kilometer run as fast as they could. While the Soldiers had a minimum of 5 minutes 35 seconds to be eligible for the GAFPB-bronze, they had to compete the run in 3 minutes 45 seconds or faster to be eligible for the gold badge.
