Frances Arias, an operations manager with the Green Beret Foundation from San Antonio, participated in the Bataan Memorial Death March for the third time. After studying military history, Arias felt the impact of the event and decided to participate in the death march as her way of honoring those who sacrificed their lives. With her role in the Green Beret Foundation, she also believes that this is one way for her to support the members of the Special Forces community as well as their families. “I followed the historical side of the Bataan for many years while studying military history,” said Arias. “We will be doing the death march in remembrance of all the Special Forces we’ve lost in the past.” (U.S. Army photo by: Sgt.
