NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Apr. 7, 2016)— Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Ship Sponsor Susan Ford Bales, Ford’s Commanding Officer Capt. John F. Meier, sculptor J. Brett Grill, and representatives of Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipbuilding render honors during a statue unveiling in the ship's hangar bay. The statue depicts Gerald R.
