NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Apr. 7, 2016)—Sailors assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) bow their heads for benediction during a statue unveiling in the ship's hangar bay. Ship Sponsor Susan Ford Bales, sculptor J. Brett Grill, and representatives of Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipbuilding, where the ship is currently under construction, attended the event. The statue depicts Gerald R.
