NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (April 1, 2016) -- Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford's (CVN78) Commanding Officer Capt. John F. Meier and Command Master Chief Donnie Novak award Electronics Technician 2nd Class Derico Callaway with a plaque honoring him as Petty Officer of the Quarter during a Sailor of the Quarter luncheon. Sailors of the Quarter are nominated and screened in a competitive process among peers in their respective pay grades throughout the command, each being evaluated on the content of their character and the quality of their work.
