September Brownfield’s son, Dallas, pins the rank of master gunnery sergeant on her collar during her promotion ceremony at Camp Pendleton May 6, 2016. Brownfield is the engineer equipment chief with G-4, I MHG, from Monroe, Washington, and is also the first female master gunnery sergeant in the engineer field.
