MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Master Gunnery Sgt. September Brownfield is congratulated by Chief Warrant Officer 4 Mauricio Torres at her promotion ceremony at Camp Pendleton May 6, 2016. Torres is the utilities officer of G-4, I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group. Brownfield is the engineer equipment chief with G-4, I MHG, from Monroe, Washington, and is also the first female master gunnery sergeant in the engineer field. “I was definitely excited when I heard I was selected,” Brownfield said.
