Derek Chamberlain (left), U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, congratulate PFC. Rodel Lazarra, 802nd Brigade, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, on his completion of a Basic Medical First Responder’s Course that took place July 5-7 at the Ormoc District Hospital in Ormoc, Republic of the Philippines. The course was part of a three-day comprehensive health engagement between the U.S. and the Philippines designed to provide non-medics with the knowledge to respond to incidents within the community. Attendees included members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, City Health Officials, Ormoc City Rescue and Ormoc District Hospital staff.
