160720-N-KH151-060 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 20, 2016) Seaman David Powell, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, relays information to other lookouts on watch during a fantail lookout watch aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Lookouts on watch constantly update each other and the bridge on the information needed to ensure everyone from the watch to the bridge, has proper situational awareness at all times. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
