160719-N-WA993-050 South CHINA SEA (July 19, 2016) Airman Dante Coble, from Baltimore, rips tape off a cardboard box in the aft pulper of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). “Having trash pile up in your space is a potential fire hazard,” said Coble. “Separating trash is a lot of work, but it’s worth it because it helps keep us clean.” Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
