YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 20, 2016) – Fleet Master Chief Susan A. Whitman gives a command coin to Operational Specialist 1st Class Paul Davis, from Statesville, N.C. during an all hands call at the Fleet theatre on Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka. Whitman now serves as the 17th Fleet Master Chief and is the first female to hold this position for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 83 tenant commands, and 24,000 military and civilian personnel.
