GULF OF ADEN (July 18, 2016) - Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Lane Reynolds, left, from Union, Ga., and Electrician's Mate 3rd Class Patrick Gonzalez, from McMinnville, Ore., test the insulation resistance of an LED bulb in the storage batteries room of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Installing LED bulbs is a part of the Great Green Fleet, a Navy-wide initiative in an effort towards energy conservation. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
