    Jack Syers, 12th Operations Support Squadron airfield management operations manager, radios to the East air traffic control tower to receive approval to drive on to the flightline during an airfield inspection at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph June 16, 2016. At a minimum, airfield inspections must be performed once a day, but are normally completed as many as eight times per day, especially during periods of inclement weather.
