PACIFIC OCEAN (August 21, 2016) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Ricardo Monsialyogarza, from Chino, Calif., bandages a simulated wounded Marine during a mass casualty drill aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). Makin Island is underway off the coast of Southern California, conducting integrated training with Amphibious Squadron Five and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
