160831-N-VQ947-096 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 31, 2016) Sailors from Deck Department keep tension on a mooring line in the forecastle of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), following the ship’s return to port. Deck Department is in charge of mooring the ship to the pier when the ship returns to port. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
