160830-N-NF288-010 WATERS SOUTH OF JAPAN (Aug. 30, 2016) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Jacob Bertrand, from Franklin, Texas, plays the role of an injured Sailor in a mass-casualty drill aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The drill tested the ship’s stretcher-bearers’ abilities to respond to multiple casualties in an emergency situation. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
