160830-N-WA993-078 WATERS SOUTH OF JAPAN (Aug. 30, 2016) Aviation Support Equipment Technician Airman Elijah Frazier, from Leavenworth, Washington, drains a fire-fighting hose after damage-control training aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The hose powered a water-driven fan (RAMFAN), which is used to remove smoke from spaces affected by fire. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
