Langer, from Austin, Texas photographs an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). Makin Island, the flagship of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of the Navy’s maritime strategy in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of responsibility.
