A U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Timothy William, assigned to the 1st Expeditionary Civil Engineering Group, jackhammers concrete during runway repair operations at Qayyarah, West Airfield, Iraq, Oct. 7, 2016. The runway was damaged by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), whom attempted to keep Coalition forces from gaining in the area. A Coalition of regional and international nations have joined together to enable Iraqi forces to counter ISIL, reestablish Iraq’s borders and re-take lost terrain thereby restoring regional stability and security.
