TARBORO, N.C. – North Carolina Army National Guard 1st Sgt. Timothy Ashley, of the 875th Engineer Company, moves a pipe to help reroute water from the downtown area to a nearby river here, Oct. 16, 2016. The soldiers have been pumping 1.6 million gallons of water per minute out of the city and rerouting it back to the river. Although the town is still under about 8-feet of water, the soldiers are willing to do the work until the work is done. (Photo by Army National Guard Sgt.
