TARBORO, N.C. – North Carolina Army National Guard soldiers, of the 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, prevent water pump strainers here from clogging, by replacing them or adding new pumps, Oct. 16, 2016. Sgt. Jack McDonald and Sgt. William Cayton led from the front as they put on wet suits instead of tasking the job to subordinates. The two stood in floodwaters for most of the day. When the group arrived at the site, water was as high as the little brown sign on the building. Although the town is still under about 8-feet of water, the soldiers are willing to do the work until the work is done. (Photo by Army National Guard Sgt.
