The 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) color guard lowers the 1st MLG battle colors as the National Anthem is played at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, during the 1st MLG 63rd Anniversary ceremony, July 1. According to Gen. James T. Conway, Commandant of the Marine Corps, 1st MLG has "unfailingly provided exceptional combat service support for Marines in the most hazardous locations." Members of 1st MLG continue to support units training back home and fighting overseas.
