Marines with Jump Platoon, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, inspect gear prior to a mission during a field exercise aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., October 19, 2016. The purpose of the training is to prepare all elements of the unit to work in cohesion for the upcoming Marine Corps Readiness Evaluation to ensure readiness to deploy.
