Sean Ryan, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, uses an infrared thermal imaging device aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) to track combat rubber raiding crafts (CRRC) during Blue Chromite 2017. Blue Chromite is a U.S.-only exercise, which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities based in Okinawa, Japan and the greater Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
