PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 1, 2016) Sailors confirm the removal of the chocks and chains to the pilots of an MV-22 Osprey as they prepare to take-off from the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25). Somerset is on its maiden deployment as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, and is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
