161102-N-XM324-173 WATERS NEAR OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 2, 2016) Marines, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, depart the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) in a combat rubber raiding craft (CRRC) during Blue Chromite 2017. Blue Chromite is a U.S.-only exercise, which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities based in Okinawa, Japan and the greater Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
