U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Emmauel Gomezricart and Lance Cpl. Daniel Howell lead medical technicians on a walkthrough of an expeditionary field kitchen during Preventative Medicine Exercise 2016 at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 10, 2016. The medical technicians inspected for sanitation, operational ability of the equipment and for the presence of vermin. 1st Medical Battalion used this exercise to better prepare their Sailors for deployments and to practice accomplishing an objective in a field environment.
