STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- International students participating in the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School’s Diesel Systems Overhaul and Maintenance course conduct practical exercises in overhauling a diesel engine at NAVSCIATTS’ facilities on the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. DSOM is an eight-week course designed to provide personnel with the knowledge and skills to maintain and repair diesel engines and twin disc transmissions. NAVSCIATTS falls under Naval Special Warfare Group 4 and is a Security Cooperation schoolhouse operating under the United States Special Operations Command in support of Foreign Security Assistance and the geographic commander’s Theater Security Cooperation.
