U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Michael Ingold, answers questions from judges after the completion of a scenario during the 2016 Air Force Research Laboratory Commanders Challenge at the Nevada National Security Site, Las Vegas, NV., Dec. 12, 2016. Teams were given six months to develop a complete system to aid in base defense. Lackland's system is a multi-layered defeat system which uses radar, WiFi hacking, GPS spoofing and cameras to identify and track unmanned aerial systems, and a custom remote controlled immobilization vehicle for capturing downed drones.
