Memorial stones representing each of the soldiers who died in combat while serving as a member of the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) since its re-activation, July 1, 1990. Jacob Netzel, a member of Boy Scout Troop 40, led the project by raising $40,000 for the stones and the materials and submitting the requests for approval. Each stone is 30 inches long, 18 inches wide and 4 inches high. There will be a dedication ceremony for the memorial on or around Dec. 2.
