Improvised door handles, like this ammo can lid, are commonplace on the Camp Bastion flight line here. The squadrons with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) work under expeditionary circumstances, conducting daily business out of tents, and performing maintenance on aircraft under "clamshells," which are large canvas hangars. Door handles like this complement wooden doorways added to tent workspaces.
