A Marine with Task Force Southwest executes a compliance technique during nonlethal weapons training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Feb. 24, 2017. More than 30 Marines with the unit’s security element participated in the course, which enhanced their skills to properly apprehend potential combatants through nonlethal force. Task Force Southwest is comprised of approximately 300 Marines, and will deploy to Helmand Province, Afghanistan to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and 505th Zone National Police.
