    II Marine Expeditionary Force   

    A Marine with Task Force Southwest executes baton strikes during nonlethal weapons training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Feb. 24, 2017. The course required Marines to receive OC spray to the eyes, then conduct a series of takedown and hand-to-hand combat techniques. Task Force Southwest is comprised of approximately 300 Marines, and will deploy to Helmand Province, Afghanistan to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and 505th Zone National Police.
