Chief Warrant Officer Craig Wheeler, a native of Stamford, Conn., conducts preflight checks on his assigned aircraft as he prepares for his final evaluation flight in the UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter qualification course at Simmons Army Airfield, Sept. 17. Sixteen pilots, from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, graduated from the course, Sept. 20, marking the beginning of the Pegasus Brigade’s transition from the older UH-60L model to the much evolved UH-60M model Blackhawk helicopter. Wheeler, who serves as the brigade standardization pilot with the 82nd CAB, will help oversee the transition.
