PACIFIC OCEAN, Calif. -- Cpl. Markus Hall and Lance Cpl. Caleb Batiste with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Low Altitude Air Defense Detachment stand watch aboard USS AMERICA during the Amphibious Squadron-Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration, April 8, 2017. Hall and Batiste watched for any suspicious activity or sea-based vehicles that may harm the amphibious squadron during a power projection drill. These drills are designed to test the America Amphibious Ready Group’s ability to establish a strong maritime presence in international waters.
