Sergeants 1st Class Lawrence Cleveland and James Henderson, both with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Pistol Team, fire their pistols while Sgt. 1st Class Patrick Franks, a Las Vegas, Nevada native and team captain, watches their accuracy with a scope. The Service Pistol Team competed in the National Pistol Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio from June 30 to July 2, 2017. Henderson, a Pasadena, California native, earned the Overall Individual Championship title as well as his 10th President’s 100 Match Champion title. Cleveland, a Tacoma, Washington native, won the .22 Rim Fire Match Champion title. Henderson, Cleveland and Franks, along with other team members, helped seize the National Trophy Team Match title, which USAMU Soldiers have now won for the past 11 years.
