Sergeants 1st Class James Henderson and Lawrence Cleveland, both with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Pistol Team, enjoy a break at Camp Perry, Ohio with Cleveland’s 9-year-old son, Lance Alexander Cleveland. Henderson, a Pasadena, California native, earned the Overall Individual Championship title as well as his 10th President’s 100 Match Champion title. Cleveland, a Tacoma, Washington native, won the .22 Rim Fire Match Champion title. Henderson and Cleveland helped seize, along with other team members, the National Trophy Team Match, which USAMU Soldiers have won now for the past 11 years. Later this year, Henderson will retire after 32 years of service. Cleveland said Henderson will be dearly missed. "Everyone on our team is very thankful for having had him as part of our team. He has been a coach, a mentor, a friend and an asset to all of us on a personal level at some point in our time together. And, we will miss him like a family member."
