U.S. Marine 1st Lt. Michael F. Giles, the officer in charge of Mobile Training Team One, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, fires the CZ P-07 at the pistol range aboard Naval Base Las Calderas as part of a month-long pilot course on infantry tactics, Aug. 2, 2017. The MTT in the Dominican Republic is one of several teams from SPMAGTF-SC being deployed to Caribbean and Central American countries to conduct training with their counterparts there. The Marines and sailors of SPMAGTF-SC are deployed to Central America to conduct security cooperation training and engineering projects with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations.
