The MTT in the Dominican Republic is one of several teams from SPMAGTF-SC being deployed to Caribbean and Central American countries to conduct training with their counterparts there. The Marines and Sailors of SPMAGTF-SC are deployed to Central America to conduct security cooperation training and engineering projects with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations.
