Dominican Navy commando Rafael Soto Gerònimo simulates a beach raid during a physical training event coordinated by the U.S. Marines with Mobile Training Team One, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, aboard Naval Base Las Calderas in Las Calderas, Honduras, July 27, 2017. The event was part of a month-long pilot course the Marines of the MTT were teaching to Dominican service members. The MTT in the Dominican Republic is one of several teams from SPMAGTF-SC being deployed to Caribbean and Central American countries to conduct training with their counterparts there. The Marines and sailors of SPMAGTF-SC are deployed to Central America to conduct security cooperation training and engineering projects with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations.
