    SOUTH CHINA SEA – Lance Cpl. Vimiel Magdirila, a rifleman with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Battalion Landing Team, demonstrates his Combat Life Savers skills during a qualification exam aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 28, 2017. The purpose of qualifying Marines in the CLS program is to increase the overall medical knowledge potentially extending the survivability rate of a wounded Marine or Sailor.
