INDIAN OCEAN – An MV-22B Osprey with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Aviation Combat Element takes flight aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 29, 2017. The Osprey can be used for expeditionary assault support, raid operations, cargo lift and special warfare. The 15th MEU and America Amphibious Ready Group are operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
