Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Kris A. Belanger, Commanding General, 85th Support Command, gives her remarks after her promotion to brigadier general on September 2, 2017 at Fort Jackson South Carolina. Belanger said that to achieve such a rank is a true honor that took a lot of sacrifice and hard work from more than just herself. Belanger gave much of the credit to achieving the promotion to her family and friends. Belanger said her family is the foundation from which she finds the strength to reach higher, and do more as an Army Reserve Leader. She said she is excited to take the next step in leading the 85th SPT CMD, and ensuring the best training possible for our warfighters. Belanger will officially assume command of the 85th SPT CMD in October.
