Maj. Gen. Steven W. Ainsworth, left, Commanding General, 377th Theater Sustainment Command, unfurls Brig. Gen. Kris A. Belanger's flag during her promotion ceremony to brigadier general at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, September 2, 2017. Belanger requested Ainsworth to preside over the ceremony because of his mentorship and guidance in her last role as the commander of the 4th Brigade, 94 Training Division from Atlanta, Georgia. Ainsworth was the officer who presided over her taking command of the 4-94 in 2014. Ainsworth called Belanger an incredible Army Reserve Soldier, an outstanding leader and is very deserving of this next step commanding the 85th SPT CMD. Belanger will officially assume command of the 85th SPT CMD in October.
