A solemn desk chair lies in a layer of mud and petroleum that now covers much of the U.S. FISC Yokosuka Defense Fuel Support Point Hachinohe facility following a tsunami, which was triggered by an 8.9-magnitude earthquake. The earthquake was the largest ever recorded in Japan, which caused considerable damage to the country's eastern coastline.
