ST. JOHN, U.S. Virgin Islands (Sept. 14, 2017) – Military and civilian personnel coordinate movement operations to areas affected by Hurricane Irma. Irma sustained 185-mph winds for 37 hours, the longest any cyclone on the globe has maintained that intensity. The Department of Defense continues to support the lead federal agency, FEMA, as well as the state and local authorities in disaster relief efforts.
