The 203rd TC Det. is the only Army unit to self deploy by sailing to the theater of operations on the Maj. Gen. Robert Smalls, Logistic Support Vessel-8, the largest sailing vessel in the U.S. Army. Army watercraft of the 203rd TC Det. are equipped, manned and operated by the Army Reserve. The unit falls under the 359th Transportation Battalion out of Fort Eustis, Va.
